JOSHUA J. WATSON joined Scott & Scott, P.C. in 2009 after clerking with a law firm in Champaign, Illinois, for nearly two years. Joshua graduated cum laude from the University of Florida in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He is a National Merit Scholar, a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society, and was placed on the academic dean's list while at Florida. Josh received his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law graduating cum laude. He was awarded the Roth Law Scholarship, received honors in Legal Writing and Analysis and Introduction to Advocacy and was placed on the academic dean's list. Josh advanced to the external competition of the Frederick Green Moot Court Competition. He was also a student member of the Lincoln-Douglas Chapter of the American Inns of Court. Josh is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and Sangamon County Bar Association, and has been admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois. He concentrates his practice in the areas of family law, estate planning and administration, real estate, and general litigation.
